Privacy Policy

Last updated 12 June 2026

This policy describes how Placemaking handles your information. This is a general template and should be reviewed by your legal counsel before relying on it.

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Placemaking collects, uses, and protects information when you use the service. We aim to collect only what we need to run and improve the product.

2. Information we collect

Account information such as your name, email address, and organization. Usage information such as the questions you ask and the reports you generate. Technical information such as device and log data. We also process public location and review data to produce insights.

3. How we use information

To provide and operate the service, to authenticate you, to generate insights and reports, to communicate with you about your account, and to maintain security and improve the product.

4. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the platform (for example email and hosting), when required by law, or with your consent.

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to operate the service. We keep non essential tracking to a minimum.

6. Data retention and security

We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. To have it deleted, use the form at /privacy-request, which needs no account: you confirm the request from your own inbox and we answer within one month. For any of the others, email us using the details below. A request by email counts exactly the same as one made through the form, and is answered in the same month.

Work created inside a workspace (projects, collected reviews, credits and the activity log) belongs to that workspace and stays with it when an individual account is deleted, shown as belonging to a deleted account. Records we are required to keep, such as billing records, are kept for as long as the law requires.

8. International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where it is, we take steps to ensure it remains protected in line with this policy.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you and will update the date at the top of this page.
